Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches in two important Trains

It has been decided to replace the conventional coaches of18405/18406 Puri-Ahamedabad-Puri Expressand12888/12887 Puri-Howrah-Puri ExpressTrain with Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches. 

 

LHB coaches are equipped with “anti-telescopic” technology which prevents coaches from crumpling and piling on the top of each other in case of accident, thereby ensure safety to the passengers. Coaches are designed for higher passenger capacity and operating speed up to 160 KM/Hr.    At present two important trains of East Coast Railway will be fitted with LHB coach.

 

18405/18406 Puri-Ahamedabad-Puri Express will be replaced by LHB coaches with one AC-Two tier, Three AC-Three tier, Nine Sleeper Class, Six General Class, Two Luggage-cum-Guard van and one Pantry car.  LHB coaches will be implemented in 18405 Puri-Ahamedabad Express from14.06.2017and in 18406 Ahamedabad-Puri Express from16.06.2017.

 

Similarly, 12888/12887 Puri-Howrah-Puri Express will be replaced by LHB coaches with one AC-Two tier, Three AC-Three tier, Nine Sleeper Class, Six General Class and Two Luggage-cum-Guard van.  LHB coaches will be implemented in 12888 Puri-Howrah-Puri Express from18.06.2017and in 12887 Howrah-Puri Express from19.06.2017.
