ECoR TO AUGMENT ADDITIONAL COACHES PERMANENTLY IN FIVE MORE TRAINS:


WAIT LIST POSITION OF DIFFERENT CLASSES IN TRAINS BEING CLOSELY MONITORED TO FACILITATE PASSENGERS

With a view to avoiding rush in regular trains, East Coast Railway has decided to augment additional AC-3 Tier coaches permanently in Puri-Patna Baidyanathdham Express, Puri-Howrah Weekly Express & Puri-Digha Express and also General Second Class Chair Car inSambalpur-Puri & Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi Express permanently from February, 2016.

18303/18304 Sambalpur-Puri-Sambalpur Inter City Express will be augmented with o­ne General Second Class Chair Car permanently w.e.f. 1st February from both the directions.

12892/12891 Bhubaneswar-Bangiriposi-Bhubaneswar Express will be augmented with o­ne General Second Class Chair Car permanently w.e.f. 23rd February from Bhubaneswar & w.e.f. 24th February, 2016 from Bangiriposi.

18449/18450 Puri-Patna-Puri Baidyanathdham Express will be augmented with o­ne AC-3 Tier Coach permanently w.e.f. 8thFebruary from Puri and w.e.f. 10th February, 2016 from Patna.

12896/12895 Puri-Howrah-Puri Weekly Express will be augmented with o­ne AC-3 Tier Coach permanently w.e.f. 11thFebruary from Puri and w.e.f. 12th February, 2016 from Howrah.

22890/22889 Puri-Digha-Puri Weekly Express will be augmented with o­ne AC-3 Tier Coach permanently w.e.f. 13thFebruary from Puri and w.e.f. 14th February, 2016 from Digha.

Apart from this, ECoR is also augmenting additional coaches temporarily in different important trains towards different destinations of the country from its jurisdiction according to the feasibility and demands from the passengers. Based o­n an analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile o­n various routes, temporary augmentation of coaches in several Express trains is being done by attaching additional coaches.
