The 62nd Republic Day celebrations at Khurda Road Railway Division were held in a function at the Railway Stadium at Khurda Road, Jatni. Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Sanjiv Garg hoisted the National Flag and inspected the ceremonial Parade / March past. A large gathering of Railway personnel and local residents of Jatni witnessed the colourful March past and cultural
programme arranged specially for the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjiv Garg, Divisional Railway Manager highlighted the role of the Railways in National Integration and exhorted all Railwaymen to rise to the occasion of call for development of the nation. Khurda Road Division of
the East Coast Railway is on the way to becoming the largest division of of Indian Railways very soon in terms of Loading. The division has been able to achieve its highest ever loading through the efforts of all its officers and staff. Divisional Railway Manager advised all concerned to put in their best and to give emphasis on passenger amenity and safety of trains. All efforts to be taken to endear ourselves to our passengers through better services at stations and on trains, thereby ensuring total customer satisfaction.
On the occasion, cultural programme was performed by students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, E.Co.Railway Mixed Higher Secondary School, Utkal Public School, Scout & Guides, East Coast Railway Shramik Congress and East Coast Railway Shramik Union. They were all awarded by Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Sanjiv Garg.
