A four bedded ICU and nine AC cabins have been inaugurated by Shri S. S. Natarajan, Principal Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO) of East Coast Railway with his wife Smt. Nargis Natarajan at Central Hospital, Mancheswar in presence of Shri Indra Ghosh, General Manager, East Coast Railway & Smt. Ratna Ghosh, President, East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO), today morning.

With the provision of latest modular AC Cabins equipped with special medical equipments and modern ICU with ventilator, multipara monitor, defibrillator & other modern equipments &necessary infrastructure to perform advanced surgeries in ECoR Central Hospital at Mancheswar which will cater to the need of the patients of its employees. Apart from this, the physiotherapy unit of Central Hospital has also been renovated and provided with ultra modern facilities.

Introduction of newer techniques, newer equipment and technology for patient care with safety at Railway Central Hospital has now become a sea change and will also educate the Health Care staff necessitated o­n software based equipment. These will also provide the importance of critically ill patient management.

Amongst other, Dr. T. P. Srivastav, Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Patra, Medical Director of East Coast Railway including all PHODs & CHODs were also present o­n this occasion. Later, a tree plantation programme was also organized at Central Hospital Campus for beautification and better environment in medical premises.
