AUTOMATIC SANITARY NAPKIN VENDING MACHINES INSTALLED AT KHURDA ROAD & SAMBALPUR RAILWAY STATION


            East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO) unit at Khurda Road and Sambalpur have provided Automatic Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines today at Khurda Road and Sambalpur Railway Stations respectively. The machine named-“Happy Nari”, is installed inside the 2nd Class Ladies waiting hall o­n Platform No. 3 of Khurda Road Railway Station and at Ladies Waiting Room o­n Platform No.-1 at Sambalpur Railway Station.

One can get the napkin by inserting a Rs. 5/- coin o­nly. The installation of the machine has been done by ECoRWWO at a cost of Rupees Sixteen thousand each. The capacity of the machine is 75 pads, which can be refilled as per requirement. Smt Shikha Agarwal, President, ECoRWWO/Khurda Road inaugurated the Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine at Khurda Road Station and Smt. M. Saraswati, Senior Waiting Room Attendant inaugurated the Vending Machine at Sambalpur in presence of Smt. Monika Gupta, President, ECoRWWO/Sambalpur and other members of ECoRWWO.

Prior to this, Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines have already been installed AT Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam Railway Stations by Women’s Organisation, ECoRWWO.
